Samsung has completely fumbled with the rollout of One UI 7, and it’s not just disappointing—it’s embarrassing. They hyped up One UI 7 update based on Android 15 like it was the second coming, promising a stable release on April 7, 2025.
That date only meant something if you lived in Korea or a handful of lucky regions. The rest of us? Still waiting, frustrated, and angry.
To make things worse, the shiny new Galaxy S25 series launched with what feels like a half-baked, rushed version of One UI 7.
Instead of nailing a stable release, Samsung pushed the S25 out with a buggy, inconsistent experience that felt more like a beta than a polished product.
For those who held unto their S24, S23, S22, and other eligible devices that support the One UI 7 beta program, It took them months to get to this point for a stable update Samsung themselves announced would be released on April 7.
Samsung’s promise of 7 years of updates at this point, feels more like a marketing ploy than a commitment. Android 15 was released last year and Samsung officially releasing it this year, in April, is nothing but a blatant display of indifference.
This same Adrioid 15 was released last year on many Chinese phones like; Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and many other brands out there, yet, Samsung thinks it’s okay to release it this year.
How can they expect users to trust them with such a long-term guarantee when they can’t even roll out a basic stable update properly? The staggered, sloppy rollout means one thing, poor planning and lack of accountability.
And let’s be real: trusting Samsung with 7 years of updates now feels like gambling. This company can do and undo. It now feels more like a marketing gimmick than a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. They’ve already shown they can’t keep their word.
Just this past April 7 was a perfect example, countless users sat with their phones waiting for the update that Samsung themselves promised would arrive after months of multiple delays and postponement. Instead, all the users anticipating for One UI 7 release only got a radio silence and frustration.
So, no, I don’t buy it. 7 years of updates? It’s a nice promise on paper. But if Samsung can’t even handle this rollout right now, what are the odds they’ll stay consistent for the next seven years? Slim to none.
