It’s a new year and we at Rebruit are happy to have you with us. As we’ve always done in the past, we will continue to deliver exceptional content to you all year round.

This year 2024, we are expecting our favorite tech companies to introduce us to their new flagship smartphones.

If our predictions are correct, these tech companies will equip their 2024 flagship smartphones with generative AI as part of their build.

Generative AI went mainstream in 2023 and advancements in the technology are on route as tech companies are gearing up to take it even further and incorporate it on their smartphones.

We first witnessed this on Google Pixel 8 in 2023. And right now, we don’t expect anything less from tech companies in the upcoming releases.

We are also expecting popular tech companies like Apple, Google, and Samsung to improve the cameras and processors in their flagship phones.

Now, that’s aside, here are the top anticipated phones of 2024.

iPhone 16 Models

As all iPhone enthusiasts know, Apple launches a new iPhone every September and we believe the tradition will continue this year. So what are we expecting from the iPhone 16 series?

From the looks of it, the iPhone 16 line will be a modest upgrade from the last release, the iPhone 15. However, information suggests a brand new Siri.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst, all iPhone 16 models will get a microphone upgrade, as Apple is developing its AI features to give Siri a boost.

The camera on the iPhone 16 will also get the tetraprism telephoto lens of the iPhone 15, meaning that it would have 5x zoom instead of 3x.

In terms of chips, the rumors on MacRumors are that the iPhone 16 is getting a new A18 chip while the Pro is getting a version called A18 Pro Bionic.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series

In November 2023, Samsung announced the Galaxy AI, which will deliver a mobile AI experience. As we are expecting the Galaxy S24 series to launch possibly this January, this may be the focus of the tech giant on their new flagship.

X (formerly Twitter) leaks suggest that the Samsung S24 Ultra will feature a flat screen instead of the slightly curved one that was initially expected.

Samsung will, as usual, upgrade the camera and processor, which may run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. A chip that can comfortably run AI operations without the need to connect to the cloud.

Most of the information so far is leaks and we are not sure what the Galaxy S24 series will ship with until it’s released.

Google Pixel 9 series

We have not gotten much information on these smartphones of 2024, but according to a post on X by Ross Young, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the new Google Pixel 9 and 9 Pro, will have a much larger screen than their predecessors.

Taking a page from Google’s typical release strategy, we expect the Pixel 9 series to launch in October. Also, there will probably be upgrades to the AI features of the ones on the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro powered by Gemini.

The AI model allows features like conversation summaries in the Recorder app, which Google is expected to enhance.

Then, as usual, we will get upgrades on the camera and possibly a new Tensor processor.

OnePlus 12

From what we know, OnePlus has already launched its new flagship phones in China and the global introduction is coming on January 23, 2024. The OnePlus 12 runs on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and 256GB storage.

They upgraded camera performance with a higher resolution 64-megapixel telephoto camera, unlike the previous model, which runs a 32-megapixel camera.

In terms of charging, the OnePlus 12 boast of being one of the fastest charging phones in the world with a 50-watt wireless charging and a 100-watt wire charging.

Oppo Find X7 series

There isn’t much information on the Find X7 series, but assuming Oppo maintains its launch strategy, we should be expecting the new release early this year in March.

The smartphones of 2024 may run on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip as the company’s press release mentions the chip in future phones.

They will equip the camera with a Hasselblad Hypertone camera system, which will enable it to use computational photography to reduce picture distortion and noise. It will also have 100-watt fast charging, making it one of the fastest-charging phones on earth.

Xiaomi 14 series

Bad news first, it is not expected that these phones will be released in the United States. The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro were first introduced at the end of October 2023 in China, with mentions of them being the first phones to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

They run on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS system, designed to be compatible with mobile and smart home devices, including cars.

There is a massive upgrade on the Xiaomi 14 series display over the 13, as it can reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.

This would make the phone visible even in direct sunlight. The camera sensors have also been upgraded as it can take in 180% more light than the Xiaomi 13.
