Around the world, Microsoft users are experiencing an error screen popularly known as the “blue screen of death,”.

This issue affecting Windows operating systems was caused by an update from CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm. This lead to a widespread IT outage across many businesses and government organizations.

According to the post on X, affected users are advised to roll back their Windows 365 Cloud PC to a working state before the update release (July 19, 2024). Some online tutorials were also given to the users.

However, in another update, Microsoft advised that users may experience a bug check- the blue screen of death, and get stuck in a restarting state.

We have received reports of successful recovery from some customers attempting multiple Virtual Machine restart operations on the affected Virtual Machine. CrowdStrike has pulled the affected update.
