MDaaS Global, a Nigerian health tech company known for its network of diagnostics centers under the brand BeaconHealth Diagnostics, has proudly announced its accomplishment in securing a $3 million pre-Series A financing round.

According to the health tech company, the investment round was co-led by Aruwa Capital Management, with additional investments from Ventures Platform and Newton Partners, bringing MDaas’ total secured investment to $6.8 million.

As part of the MDaas Global agenda, the health tech company states that these investment funds will go towards developing its proprietary technology platform, BeaconOS—while growing its healthcare outreach to all states in Nigeria.

The MDaas BeaconOS

Positioned as the central nervous system of MDaas Global’s healthcare network, BeaconOS operates as an advanced operating system seamlessly integrating and enhancing the functionality of every physical clinic within the network.

Breaking down its fundamental features, BeaconOS offers digital patient records management and facilitates seamless online appointment scheduling, enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare operations.

In addition, the healthcare platform will stand as a connection point between all MDaas clinics and partners nationwide. A solution to reduce the communication and coordination issues with its corporate partners and Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs).

With the BeaconOS, one would be able to connect all affiliate diagnostics clinics, manage patient results and data, enable patient referrals, and promote collaborations between two entities under the network.

MDaaS, the healthcare company, has expanded its software offerings beyond BeaconOS. Among these, Olewerk stands out as an application designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of diagnostic workflows.

MDaaS also offers “Beam”, a specialized software solution tailored for corporate partners, enabling them to efficiently manage their teams’ occupational healthcare needs.

The company is also gearing up to create its first patient-facing software, to provide patients with an overview of test results, follow-up care accessibility, schedule an appointment, and enroll in health insurance programs.
