A widespread Xfinity outage has left thousands of customers, both residential and business, without service across the area. The issue started Friday morning, and reports of connectivity problems have been pouring in ever since.

Xfinity says crews are out working on repairs, but there’s still no clear explanation for what caused the sudden blackout. For now, it’s being labeled a “temporary service interruption,” and they’ve apologized for the disruption.

A widespread internet outage is affecting both Bayport and Barbours Cut Container Terminals. Inbound processing is unavailable, and outbound is limited to trucks already inside.

The outage isn’t just hitting homes and offices. The National Weather Service confirmed it’s experiencing communications issues tied to the same internet problems. Port Houston also shared that it’s been affected.

Some public agencies, however, seem to be in the clear. The City of Manvel’s police department says it hasn’t been impacted, and Pasadena’s emergency services are running as usual.

With so much of daily life depending on a solid internet connection, even a few hours offline can cause chaos, especially for remote workers, students, and businesses trying to stay connected.

There’s no word yet on when service will be fully back, but we’ll keep an eye out for updates.
