iPhone SE 4 to get the iPhone 14 battery

2 Min Read

Rumors suggest that the next-gen affordable iPhone SE 4 will have the same battery as the iPhone 14. With this update to the battery, we expect the Special Edition iPhones to offer lasting electrical endurance.

This could also mean a design change, dropping the old design of the SE 3 and possibly adopting the iPhone 14 design. Although we don’t expect to see the Dynamic Island on the SE 4, we may get a 6.1-inch display and, for the first time, Face ID.

The little information coming from an anonymous source talking to MacRumors appears to concur with other rumors that the SE 4 will reuse the iPhone 14 battery. Believed to hold a 3,279mAh cell, if the iPhone 14 battery makes it to the SE 4, it would be a significant boost to the 2,010mAh in the SE 3.

In a lab test, the iPhone SE 3 delivered a battery life of 9 hours and 5 minutes. While the iPhone 14 lasted for 9 hours and 28 minutes, there are differences between the two phones to take into consideration.

An obvious difference between the iPhone 14 being more powerful and having a larger display than the iPhone SE 3. Therefore, by using the battery of the iPhone 14 on the SE 4, we anticipate witnessing the potential best iPhone battery life ever.

It’s still unknown when the SE 4 will be out in stores as Apple has announced no official date. But with the recent rumors, we could see a refresh to the SE by 2024 or 2025. Apple released the last update to the iPhone SE in 2022, but it lacked features, making the iPhone SE 4 a promising candidate for an update.
