Flutterwave has announced Olajumoke Adenowo, the Nigerian Architect, as a new board member. It is a move by the biggest African startup as part of the strategy to expand its operations globally.
According to the company, Olajumoke Adenowo, stands as the first independent non-executive board member. Her role thus, is to help elevate the company to a global standard, starting first with its pan-African growth.
In terms of career, Olajumoke is a successful Architect with over 35 years in the field, attaining heights recognized all around Africa and beyond. She is the 2020 Forbes Woman African Entrepreneur of the Year, leading a large portfolio in AD Consulting, an architectural firm focused on local and international projects.
As part of her achievements, he is the author of the book “Neo Heritage: Defining Contemporary African Architecture”. A book that makes her the first African architect to be published by Rizzoli, a New York-based publisher.
Flutterwave in recent times has been strategizing and implementing global expansion, as the company, has conquered the African market boasting of operating in over 30 African countries.
Now, the FinTech company is solidifying its stake in the Indian market as the company expands to Asia’s second-largest market.
At the moment, bits of information coming out of Flutterwave suggest that the FinTech company is planning its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on NASDAQ.
