Apple’s “Let Loose” Event set for May 7th: What to Expect

Whether it's a refresh of the iPad lineup, innovative features for the Apple Pencil, or a combination of both, the "Let Loose" event promises to unleash a wave of creative possibilities for Apple users.

Apple is gearing up for another exciting event this year and has sent out invites for a virtual presentation titled “Let Loose” scheduled for May 7th. During this period, we expect Apple to unveil new creative tools.

The focus of this event is likely to be smaller, perhaps showcasing one or two key product lines. This makes perfect sense, considering their developer conference, known for major announcements, is just around the corner.

The invitation offers a subtle clue: a prominent image of a hand grasping an Apple Pencil, paired with the handwritten tagline “Let Loose.” Could this be hinting at a long-awaited iPad refresh? It’s been over two years since Apple updated its iPad lineup, and fans are eager for a new generation.

Rumors suggest that the iPad Pro and iPad Air models could be getting the powerful M2 and M3 chips onboard—and the excitement doesn’t stop there.

Leaks from the early iOS 17.5 beta hint at a potentially game-changing “squeeze” feature for the upcoming fourth-generation Apple Pencil. We also expect to see an updated Magic Keyboard case revision for the Pro model might.

With the event kicking off at 7:00 AM PT on May 7th, anticipation is building. Will Apple truly “Let Loose” and unleash a wave of new iPads, or will they hold off for the bigger WWDC stage? Only time will tell.
